Now The Anti-GMO Crowd Thinks The Pope Is Great.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1016&pid=125905FFS. I have to laugh.
On edit, this is the same Pope who claimed gay parents are not as good as straight ones, just a week earlier. His science credentials are rather lacking.

(10,420 posts)He's terrible on women's issues and gay rights. He's good on economics and the environment (in regards to climate change). If people would just take a step back and look at his views objectively they'd see both good stuff and bad stuff as far as his politics go. He's just a regular Joe who happens to hold a very powerful position. Take away the religion and he's probably a mid level manager at some factory.

(35,773 posts)He's anti-GMO, he's anti-birth control, he's anti-gay parents. Oh, maybe he is pro-vaccine. I don't know. He's an improvement over the last guy, but not by that much, despite all the hype.

Francis is an improvement over Pope Rat, but is still a product of a flawed system.
