There's SNOW on the peaks in southern Montana this morning!
Now that the clouds have blown by I can see the mountains and they have snow on them from the past 36 hours. It's not massive but it is enough to see from a few miles off, appears to be above 8,000ft elev. Actually a good sign but in current weather situation, nothing is predictable beyond a week or so.

(92,668 posts)We just had the Equinox yesterday.
Usually we don't get snow up high until hunting season in October/November, brings the ungulates down from the high country.
It won't last as we are headed back into the 70s and 80s starting today.

(35,661 posts)It rained really hard in November and when the sun came out and it cleared up I saw mountains out my kitchen window that I had never seen before

We spent a month there every summer.
My family lived near Belgrade. We had family in Laurel, too.
We like Yellowstone. Where are you, roughly?
