I just came in from reattaching the gutter to the home, by golly the wind gets wild up here.
And sat down to view the webcams. SURPRISE!
And to top it off, I somehow seem to have been banned from imgbb!

(7,879 posts)I did a photo-doc today of my daily trail near home, a potential "before" for this storm's downed trees.
Fingers tightly crossed we don't lose power though....
Hunker down!

Got some new tires on my truck today.

(7,879 posts)I am freaking myself out worrying about trees falling, and losing power. But nothing I can do about it. The river is in flood watch, they expect it to get to about 35 feet (still about 10 feet less than 2019).
Fingers crossed. Stay safe!

(2,884 posts)I bought a truck that needed front tires, and I got those a while back. A week back I punctured a sidewall on one of the other tires. Good fortune followed me, a neighbor came by who brought a floor jack and the device to lower the spare tire. It had cracks in the sidewall so I figured I would get 2 new rear tires and put my good tire on the spare rim.
I have some Ham and Fire Department radios, so when the power went out I just listened to the radio and all the calls for trees down, wires down and medical calls. I had another good fortune incident, I was given a generator a while back and I hooked it up, thus am back online. The bad news is that my roof leaks and has taken to dripping on the bed. Last night I put the plastic bag from a loaf of bread over my forehead to keep the drips from landing on my face. We don't always win them all.

(7,879 posts)My power was out from Wed afternoon til last night, so i was literally in the dark the whole storm(s). No phone, no internet, I watched all my downloaded Netflix content by Thursday, my stove was broken so I couldn't even cook all the thawing food in my fridge/freezer; the constant banging on my roof from falling branches kept me indoors except for the few moments I'd risk taking my dog out to pee (and a falling branch missed him by 18 inches!). I didn't want to risk driving anywhere either due to falling trees. It was miserable! We have a few hours today before it all begins again tonight.
First thing I did when power resumed was download as much Netflix content as I had space for, and I bet it won't be enough.
How'd your roof hold up?
I wonder how our reservoirs are doing? I will go check out the river later to see how it looks.
