What weather app do you recommend?

I’m looking for an app for an iPhone… but I think most of the good apps are designed to work on either Android or IO phones. Am tired of the crappy Weather Channel app that came with this phone, and they discontinued the “Dark Sky” app I had been using.

Am looking for good radar imaging and weather alerts, mainly. Often find it interesting to look at global weather patterns.

I don’t mind paying for the app… but I’m not interested in a premium app that charges a monthly subscription fee.

BTW, if you haven’t seen it, the Ventusky.com website has lots of good stuff… but not up to the minute radar.

Thanks for any suggestions and experience with weather apps that you care to share!

I enjoy the paid version of Radar scope for virtual chasing and personal tracking, and free WeatherBug for local and remote current weather and alerts.

And go to Lansing Mi radar. I booked marked it and use that map set in motion. Pretty much covers the state.

Lots of good info in any tiny city in every country in the world. I can actually see if rain will be arriving at my home at 10:15 or 10:20. It is easy to use too.

I was going to post recommending it. But you beat me to it. Well worth having this app. And their website is great too

Most of their weather data is collected from a network of 250,000+ personal weather stations so the data is close to real-time . Users in the US can switch to the National Weather Service data if they prefer that. I've used it for years.

Wx, which is free and Radarscope. Radar Omega is good, too. I'm on Android, so not 100% which of these is available on iPhones. I'm a storm chaser, so I use apps for radar and other imaging, as well as GOES, surface analysis, SPC, etc.

MyRadar (love it)
Ventusky (gives a lot of data)
and for Heatstroke (wet bulb) information Heatstroke WBGT (Shikibu Automation)

I appreciated Dark Sky too.
