About 4 Inches of Snow So Far This Morning

And still coming down wet and heavy.

Some of the mountains in the area expected to get feet of the stuff. Avalanche land and maybe a big flood by early next month.

Springtime in the Rockies. It will be in the +70s in a few days.

5. Dang! I'm in Southern Cal complaining about our "chilly" temperatures. High 50s at night.

I had to go make dinner, it was my turn (2x so I'm down to one), and enjoyed the heat from the wood stove and oven. It's gone at my elevation but about 100ft up, there's still a goodly amount on the ground. The mountains are white again, what I can see of them. Supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow so flooding will be a thing.

Never hit +40F today. We'll till the garden next week.

We've got all that, lilacs are starting to bloom, the yard's been mowed twice already. Been out picking mushrooms for over a week. It will be warm after a big wind brings in a warm air mass tomorrow or the nest day.

I haven't put away all my winter wear yet because this could happen again up into July.

Tells tourists when they realize the elevation might have an affect on them she just says, "Yup, we're up high."

The part that bothers me is that I have to have the heat on. I did just have all the door and window rubber on the 4Runner pinned back into place yesterday. I had ordered new parts over a year ago but I never heard back from the place and I got busy with other things. So they called a couple days ago and said they had the parts, for over a year but they got lost in inventory when they were bought out. So I take it in and the after market parts were crappy quality and the ones already in place were in good shape, they just needed to be pinned back into place. So my windows don't leak or rattle anymore and it was all done for free since they messed up with the whole deal.

Since I didn't have to spend all that $$ on that project, I guess I'll see what's wrong with the BMW next week and get that fixed. I like it in summer, it's a good cruiser with A/C. I might sell it this fall.

Had my 1st tick bite yesterday, found it showering on my left shoulder. I dug it out, but my PCP sent a 1 day AB just in case. Friggen ticks are exploding in populations.

I haven't collected any yet which is amazing given the places I was schlepping around while collecting mushrooms. A tick search is part of the process when I get home. We have no trees up on the hill but we do have deer and they always have ticks.

I'll call you this weekend.

So, this was the 4th tick situ in the past 3 years. My PCP trusts me to know whether it's an ER visit or home remedy. Makes sense to me, why fill the ER when you know how to deal with it?

Consult the professionals when it's something I know I can't deal with for whatever reason. I have a pretty good menu of remedies but I know when I'm out of my league.

I haven't dealt with a tick that required removal in a long time but I know what to do if one is found. They're pretty gross.
