Tropical storm preps

Austin NWS predicts 2-5 inches of rain for us. Currently under Flash Flood Watch.

We are filling up car and going to ATM for small bills in case electricity goes out.

We are preppers so we already have

Water for 72 hours 1 gallon per person per day plus 1/2 gallon per day for puppers
Camping stove with propane
Food that doesn’t require cooking - peanut butter; Vienna sausage; cereal
First aid kit
Prescription meds
Change of clothes including socks and shoes

If the electricity goes down we will fire up bbq pit and Blackstone and invite neighbors for a cookout.

We will put black contractor bags in both freezers and fill them with frozen food. Discovered this after Ike. Helps with thawed food removal 🤢.

We receive our meds through the mail so have plenty.

Will fill bath tub with water once storm (maybe Alberto) approaches coast.

Good practice for us.

Storm issues for us could include flash flooding and electricity loss. Hope we get some Goldilocks rain - just right.

Stay safe y’all. Remember “turn around - don’t drown.” 😉

I trust Space City Weather. When my oldest child and I were trapped at Walt Disney World during Harvey, Space City was a great source.

We are stocking up on some water and gas to be safe. I got a generator two years ago after the Feb. 2021 freeze.

Stay safe

It’s raining at my house and 80 degrees. 👏Haven’t seen this since early May.

Rain is steadily but gently falling and my garden sighed with relief. 👍
