Bereavement
Related: About this forum5 years today
since my husband passed. In spite of Covid isolation, I have felt better this last year, like I am lifting the boat. I spend a lot of time working on sorting our 40+ years of collection. We had joined some groups on Facebook, and I enjoy comments if I post something, and I learn things too. I can't go through a box without enjoying wonderful memories and running across some little thing that is quite collectible. My daughters are planning a trip to Iceland, and invited me to go. Older dughter turned 50 last year and younger daughter has made plans to do something on her sister's bucket list every month this year. I love the thoughtfulness, love spending time with them. Really grateful for our family and friends.
Today, I vacuumed. My husband didn't mind vacuuming, actually really got into it. If he turned on the sweeper, I knew he was good for an hour. So today, I'm doing a good job in the kitchen, dining room and living room. Even doing a routine job lets me connect for awhile. He's in my heart and my thoughts. In the meantime, we all help each other on the sad days
Hope you are all getting along. I appreciate your support as I keep learning to cope

It is true about grief. Everyone handles it differently. Thank you for your kind post
