Today is my baby brothers 61st birthday. He, my SIL & their grand kids are at a waterpark hotel

I've been getting photos this afternoon, his face looks soft, relaxed and happy. His grandkids in my unbiased opinion, are cutie pies.
I am very glad he planned something special for himself today & this weekend.

All 4 of Moms' kids have had our first birthday without her. Moms' birthday is in May, I have no freaking idea how zi am going to deal with that.

My mom used to send us birthday money, in checks, one dollar for each year.

I stopped cashing her birthday checks maybe a decade ago.."Ma, that is a lot of money, you need it more then I do."
Mom, undeterred, sent me my age in one dollar bills the next year.

3. Happy Birthday to your brother! My youngest brother

will turn 61 on Mar 24. I love the story of your Mom and birthdays. My Mom would call each of us at the exact time we were born (all were in the morning). She also always sent a check despite our protests. Mom passed in Aug 2018 and Dad has been gone since Nov 2004.

All of these holidays/special occasions are hard. May the stories you tell of your Mom comfort you and make you smile .
