1. Wow, I really enjoyed this. The story hooked me in right away.

The music is wonderful.

When my daughter was young, she and I were hooked on the Japanese stories on TV.
There was a Japanese restaurant near us and we would have a long lunch, mesmerized
by the unfolding Japanese soap opera constantly running on their TV.

We did not understand Japanese language, but we knew what was happening and who the major characters were.
I had lived in Japan as a child so could explain Japanese customs and traditions to her.

2. ID what a great experience!

I lived in South Korea for three years, (in the military) and fortunately have had ties to the Korean-American community since. It has been so rewarding to learn about the far east. I have to say that a few of the dramas have been mesmerizing, and its been a refuge from the daily news cycle.

3. My brother was stationed in SK for two years with the Army.

He says SK is the best kept secret in the military.
It is the best posting there is.

As kids we were in Japan and Okinawa, Dad was career AF.

Yes I have Asian friends, eat asian foods frequently, make rice in my rice cooker, etc.

Yes, Asian actors are intense, dramatic, and draw their audience in right away.
