(65,590 posts)I thought Sanders did the best because Hillary continues to attack from the right (even using the no tax angle), which actually makes Sanders look even better to me.
I thought O'Malley had his best debate. His comment about what we went through being a depression was right on. It always seemed more than a recession to me. Very underrated moment.

(5,128 posts)We agree with those that voted for Bernie and also liked O'Malley. Hill just comes across as harsh.
Would it not be fun to have Bernie and Martin, together?

(65,590 posts)Bernie hit back well though. Anyway, whoever gets the nomination must win - it's very serious if a Repuke wins.

(57,414 posts)I only saw the second hour. I won't even start to pick a winner. I agree with Eugene Robinson--it was a "Bernie Sanders debate." Sanders held his own, but Clinton did as so well, especially since in the part I saw, she was mostly responding to answers by Sanders to questions posed to him. O'Malley got the short end of the stick, but did very well considering the moderators treated him as a peripheral participant.
Both Clinton and Sanders stuck to their main points and skirted vulnerabilities. O'Malley didn't get the honor of being challenged on any of his perceived vulnerabilities, which was almost unfair, as he didn't get the chance to have any challenges tossed in his face to show how he'd fight back. Clinton and Sanders did, and showed that neither of them was willing to give an inch.
The primaries will have to be won on the ground by the organizations of the various candidates, because on the basis of what I saw, no real weakness was displayed by any of them. We have 3 candidates, any of which who could trash any of the Republicans in a non-Fox Noise-addled country. Even in a country where Fox Noise washes the brains of millions of voters, the vast difference in the level of intelligence, competence, and just overall awareness of the Democrats vs. the Republicans SHOULD shine through to all but the most befuddled of Foxsucker voters.
*on edit--I thought O'Malley had a brilliant and relaxed post-debate interview. It wouldn't surprise me to see his numbers go up at some point, if people were still watching.

But Sanders won it.

(30,355 posts)This is an anti-Clinton site. Hillary could cure cancer and she still would lose on any poll posted here.
Why bother creating polls for an echo chamber?

(30,355 posts)But you already knew that. So the guy who just became a Democrat a handful of months ago is now more of a "Democrat" than a former Democratic first lady, senator and SOS?

(13,877 posts)The first one was the TIME poll. The next one was not by DU.
This is what hyperbole and BS sounds like: (cure cancer...echo chamber...I always laugh) It's not really adult conversation.
But, please, proceed.

(6,951 posts)Any of the 3 standing on that stage would be a damn sight better than anything the RNC has to offer.
I'm in for Bernie since the last debate.
Martin - it's not his year but he impresses me.
Hillary - I have my problems with her but I would not hold my nose in the general if she pulls it out in the primaries.
So no matter what, America is better off.
