I made a Bernie Bird hat for the occasion! Finally, a vote FOR a candidate! The candidate of my lifetime! The candidate who embodies admirable principles and policies that will serve to benefit humanity rather than a selfish personal agenda. The candidate who has inspired millions of Americans by telling the truth about establishment politics, the corrupting influences of the main stream media, the overt control of both money and politics by the corporations and has earned millions of votes from people who have never felt inspired to vote before. Do I love Bernie? I certainly admire him for his stamina, courage and honesty. I love his message because it is a message that benefits all of us and our descendants. NO to TPP, NO to the XL Pipeline, NO to fracking, NO to carbon emissions and on and on.... YES to tuition free college (like some states had until the late 60's) and goodbye to crippling student debt. YES to medicare for all, YES to bringing the US up to the socially conscious standards of our European and Global counterparts and YES to raising up the middle class and the poor partially through a jobs program to rebuild our deadly infrastructure. I could go on and on. I was proud to vote today in spite of the media and others telling me it would be to no avail. Wowsers, what class, what nobility! We have been waiting for what seems like eons to vote only to be told our votes don't count and they certainly don't matter. Tomorrow, after 44 years as a registered D I will change my registration. Enough. If the DNC no longer wants my money (or my vote) they can go suck rocks. I can even mail a box of some really beautiful ones to their HQ. I remember sitting on the floor in front of a console TV in the '70's as a young feminist watching Archibald Cox, Erlichmann, Halderman, Howard Hunt---and John Dean. What a show--if you think this is over you should think again. That was the BEST effing series on the teevee then and we are going to get another one just like it---soon. HRC folks need not reply. I think I finally have ALL of you on Ignore.

I agree about watching Watergate unfold on our TV. Now that was reality TV I was interested in watching. I was glued to it. I was also glued to the TV during the Florida election recount in 2000. I actually own one of the voting machines from Palm Beach. Someone years later sold some of them on ebay and I bought one. Call it my own little piece of history.

I don't know what will happen with the Hillary email story. It should be huge but we've seen since Watergate that those in political power either get off completely or get off with a hand slap so I don't know if anything will come of it. I hope if there are crimes that they are prosecuted but I don't have much confidence that they will be considering we let torturers off and those who destroyed evidence of torture off. We shall see.

My money has always been on the Clinton Foundation/Secretary of State relationship. Pay to Play. It's the cover-up, it was what got Nixon. I too was glued to the hearings during Watergate. It opened up like an orchid. As a recovering accountant my money is on 'follow the money'. A good forensic accountant (FBI) is undoubtedly on the scent and therefore the trail. There is ALWAYS a trail.

There are some things that cannot be buried.

I'm up in the mountains - outside a very small town. I voted at 3 pm and was the 101 person to vote.

My mom passed away last June and lived near an interstate to Louisville. I have always enjoyed your posts! Let's get together at the Derby! I wanna make a hat with red and green chiles, then we can recycle 'em by roasting and eating them with home made tortillas!
