(2,096 posts)I agree about watching Watergate unfold on our TV. Now that was reality TV I was interested in watching. I was glued to it. I was also glued to the TV during the Florida election recount in 2000. I actually own one of the voting machines from Palm Beach. Someone years later sold some of them on ebay and I bought one. Call it my own little piece of history.
I don't know what will happen with the Hillary email story. It should be huge but we've seen since Watergate that those in political power either get off completely or get off with a hand slap so I don't know if anything will come of it. I hope if there are crimes that they are prosecuted but I don't have much confidence that they will be considering we let torturers off and those who destroyed evidence of torture off. We shall see.

(1,217 posts)and find your insights interesting. You DO own a piece of history!!! Wowsers!
My money has always been on the Clinton Foundation/Secretary of State relationship. Pay to Play. It's the cover-up, it was what got Nixon. I too was glued to the hearings during Watergate. It opened up like an orchid. As a recovering accountant my money is on 'follow the money'. A good forensic accountant (FBI) is undoubtedly on the scent and therefore the trail. There is ALWAYS a trail.
There are some things that cannot be buried.
