IMHO the campaign needed one or more rallying points

My thoughts on good points:
> End the war on drugs/legalize cannabis
> See any states here that are neither green nor gold that may have helped swing the election?
........

> Make the $15/hour minimum wage a big priority.
> It's not just the national 1%ers objecting to this, it's also the "comparative 1%ers" in rural area businesses. One of the reasons we have less influence and support in rural and small town America is many college grads who live there are faced with the choice of either moving to a big city to get a job with decent pay or stay rural with very limited prospects and paying off student loans.

True. I wasn't exact. I meant Florida has medical marijuana and should be green. yeoman6987 Nov 2016 #5

minimum wage in California will increase to 10/hour, and will increase by one dollar in each of the next four years to 15 dollars an hour.

While the minimum wage need to be increased to at least 15 dollars an hour, in California, 15 dollars/hour is not a livable wage

As far as the federal level is concerned, we can now kiss that off

I've worked in parts of CA where $15/hour for 2 full time workers (about $4500/month) won't pay much more than rent and food for a 2 bedroom for a family of 3.

Not having real wages (which spell actual security) for people breeds depression, contempt and a host of other problems. The vacuum left in income is one of the factors that leads to dealing in drugs and other crime.

These issues reach into society in many places.

It should rain beer on even numbered days and scotch on odd.
The Dems should control the government.
My dog should be impervious to fleas.

Do you mean the map is wrong and Florida is green or is Florida mostly green in actual practice?
Please clarify.
