As Far As Russia Goes

What Russia did was not unique. They hacked the DNC and leaked some emails that were quite embarrassing to the party. One even cost DWS her job as DNC Chair.

To think we would not do the same is ignorance at best and intellectual dishonesty at worst.

With that being said, we as a country have interfered in foreign elections. We've actually gone as far as rigging them, or overthrowing governments and installing dictators that agree with us.

Our hands are not clean.

The DNC should have expected that their servers would attempt to be hacked. They didn't take that threat seriously. We payed the price.

but what upsets me more is the stories portraying the emails in a misleading light-- they were used for anti-Democratic propaganda, and that is not right at all. The ramifications were too huge, and the worst is still to come with Trump-Pence, I have no doubt.

Do you know that we have actually rigged foreign elections, or forcefully removed democratically elected leaders?

How do you square that circle?

Also, it's not like the people at the DNC were the ones interfering in elections overseas, and in general liberals are against that sort of thing. So it's not even like the DNC got what they deserved. Yes, they could have protected their email server better, so could a lot of places that also got hacked.

believe any of them are secret Republicans.

Are some sellouts? Yes. DWS's stance on payday loans would be my example.

Gross incompetence would be the biggest issue,

Cronyism, in my opinion, is the reason we are so incompetent. DWS was rewarded, after losing her position, by HTC with an honorary position within the campaign After the beating we took nationwide the past several elections, she should have been publicly fired and replaced with someone who is competent.

Anyone who believes this ranks up there with the black helicopter and alien abduction crowd.

Russia hacked an email server and published embarrassing emails. That's all they did. That's not throwing an election, that's exploiting the DNC.

Are we just gonna roll over like a dog for Russia? We sure as heck didn't during the cold war. Are we suddenly spineless?

And if Trump colluded with Russia to get himself elected then what?

Crying, screaming and complaining doesn't change reality. If we proved it, Trump either is pushed aside or steps aside and we still end up with a Republican president.

I honestly think Pence is a more dangerous man at the helm than Trump. Trump is a one term president, Pence could actually be a two termer.
