The fringe left solution

Don't treat those voters like trash. Hear what they have to say, build on it where there's common ground, respectfully explain things where there isn't common ground. For the ones that yell, just ignore that until they get tired of yelling.

All the cutesy crap like the ponies meme or the berniebros smear is the stuff of vindictive childhood bullies and belongs in the pigpen with the pigs we oppose.

Problem solved.

Oh, the horror of having to brush off an insult or two once in a while!

You want their votes or not? I'm not saying you have to kowtow to the fringe, just stop going out of your way to insult them during a campaign. Other people in the party will then have room to get work done so you don't even have to look at those folks.

Low bar, high return. Where's the problem?

Didn't care much for them/Raygun, then either.

Many resemble nothing from the left.

You want to talk about people who are vindictive and act like childhood bullies, look no further than the number of BoBers who wished death upon Clinton and cheered the thought of a bunch of men pissing on her face. Many of the "pigs we oppose" are class acts compared to BoBers. By definition, BoBers found Clinton to be as bad as Trump. Fucking dolts.

They are the flip side of the Trumpsters. I personally don't care about them.

Bernie Sanders is moot. He is 75 years old and will probably retire in the not too distant future.

that they never stop yelling, don't listen to anything couched in a respectful tone, and basically will not concede the existance of common ground. Seems to apply to left and right.

Nice try, though.

civility and a "no insults" policy. They were fine throwing insults at the start of the primary and all through the convention, and only started crying when they started getting hit by some themselves.

Typical bully behavior.

It got drowned out in all the campaign noise at the time, but she did in fact do it.

Unfortunately, lots of her supporters didn't follow suit and still won't drop the grudge. Seeing as we just got shellacked, we need as many of those votes as we can get.

As pointed out, Democrats did NOT just get shellacked, in fact we GAINED ground last month.

How do you explain gaining seats in both houses and Clinton getting 2.6+ million more votes than her opponent being "shellacked"?

But to answer your question, here ya go. Contains plenty of links to data.

Plus oval office, exec orders, ambassadorships, foreign policy, SCOTUS, federal appointments across the board, etc, etc.

You tell me a better word than shellacked after losing so much to a TV joke.

It was certain Bernie supporters who didn't "follow suit" and held onto their grudge all the way to the polls, as they voted Trump or third party.

There's nothing like a little revisionist history to bring out those who believe it.

But then, I avoided certain posters for a long time, so that's not surprising.

I notice that OP was not exactly met with "yeah, me too" responses - other than a few who were, surprisingly enough, low-count posters no longer with us.

If you're trying to push the meme that HRC supporters refused to vote Bernie if he was the chosen nominee, you're going to have to do better than this.

I never saw it before either, but it took all of a minute to find.

If you're trying to push the meme that HRC supporters refused to vote Bernie if he was the chosen nominee, you're going to have to do better than this.

I'm not even trying to do that a little. All of you screaming at me need to dial it down a notch or two.

I'm arguing against the OP after OP after OP railing against "all these foolish kids and fringe lunatics that cost Hillary the election." What actually caused the loss is very complicated, and we're not likely to ever fully sort it out. But one thing is for certain: this rush to factionalism is utterly self-defeating. So I'm pushing back against that nonsense.

I was always was clear that I would be voting for the Democratic nominee whoever it was in the general election.

Also, it was a comment related to Sanders' pushing the LIE that Hillary was "money laundering through the Hillary Victory Fund.
