Where is Gary Johnson?

Grant it, I've sort of had my head in the sand for the past several weeks. Just couldn't stomach much. But now I'm back and paying more attention to the shitshow taking place in Trumpland.

We've seen Jill Stein and her recount efforts. Where oh where has Gary Johnson been? Maybe he's been interviewed or made statements that I've missed. Or did he show up for the election, make his contribution and disappear?

It seems perfectly reasonable to suggest that nobody should be concerned with global warming since the sun will one day envelop Earth anyway. Right?

And to think people actually voted for him. Then again, more than 60 million voted for an unqualified, criminal, racist, sexist, xenophobic conspiracy theorist.

I've met him several times. He's a really nice man.

Completely loony. But nice.

I'd take him in a heart beat over Trump.

Besides learning about Aleppo, maybe he doesn't know what a "recount" is.

At first I was pretty much ambivalent about Johnson, but I grew to despise him.

I would like it remembered that he had exactly nothing to offer to help us deal with real-world problems, and that he napped while the Last President Ever tweeted his way toward Armageddon.

Maybe start with an acknowledgement that someone who thinks terminally ill grannies belong in prison for eating pot brownies, isnt the best choice for the public face of our party.

I like to think of them as the Dead without gravitas... although at only 7 shows i probably don't qualify as a fan

I always wo dered hpw all these kids could afford to "go on tour" with phish for months on end. At the great went in 97 i saw one of the coolest things. These 4 kids had a vw microbus parked right at the gate... they had an old pizza oven bolted into the microbus... and a sign for "super fatty dank french bread pizza"... for 4 dollars a slice. They had stacks and stacks of pizza trays, selling that shit as fast as they could make it! They had a froggin duffel bag FULL of cash! It was amazing. In exchange for 2 of them ducking out during the encore to fire up the pizza oven, they made 4 a slice, probably 24 slices a tray, as fast as they could crank out the pies.

Paynfor the tour? Shit... they paid for the tickets, travels expenses, and probably banked a ton of dough on top of that!

I thought of this too, and wondered about Bill Weld as well. Weld all but endorsed Hillary in the final days before the election. In my "Hamilton elector" fantasy scenario, he'd be my preferred "compromise Republican" over Kasich. He was also on the ballot in some form and came in 3rd.

Johnson, having failed to secure 5 percent of the national popular vote to qualify the Libertarian Party for federal funding, told the Albuquerque Journal that he’s done with politics. “I’m dedicating myself to health and fitness,” Johnson said in reference to training for a 3,000-mile bike race. “Maybe I stay politically active, but not as a candidate. I will leave that to others.”

He drops in, spoils the party, then splits into obscurity leaving the rest of us with the mess.

I guess I'm not sure what I would expect of him. Whatever Jill Stein's motives were with the recount, at least if felt like she was trying to do something. But Johnson just disappeared to go get healthy and zen with himself.

She collected a large number of email addresses to hit up the next time she wants to try to run against a Democrat.
