(32,534 posts)I understand the Republicans dont care because they like the outcome, but that is unpatriotic.
Patriots need to never let this issue go, otherwise we really arent who we say we are and think of all those great men and women who died for this country, for what? For us to allow Russia to decide who we elect?
Bullshit.

(10,518 posts)making Donald Trump our President, I applaud the attempt at real journalism. Hillary's hubris in trying to circumvent FOIA requests and the government's rules ultimately set into motion everything we have now, Russian hacking of our election and Donald Trump as President. She paid a very high price for that hubris!
Let's hope the press is equally diligent at investigating Trump and his minions! I can only imagine the shit they will get up to. My guess is that they will not use emails at all because they would have way too much incriminating evidence. I cannot see them following any rules what so ever!!!

(34,189 posts)From the VICE article:
In a 13-page declaration, John Hackett, the State Departments FOIA chief, said the intensive, time-consuming task of reviewing Clintons emails would not be completed until the end of the year. And for the first time, the government disclosed that Clintons emails had been turned over to the State Department in paper form in twelve bankers boxes in December 2014, about a month after I filed my FOIA request.
That seems to indicate that Clinton turned over her emails to the State Department in a timely fashion in response to the FOIA. The State Department was the entity fighting the FOIA all the way along, not Hillary Clinton or the Clinton campaign.
Hillary Clinton was no longer the Secretary of State and had no control over what the State Department did at that point. She was NOT attempting to"circumvent FOIA requests"

(10,518 posts)Setting up her own server instead of using the required State Dept one. She did it to avoid FOIA requests.
