Yeah, we need full disclosure, but there's enough evidence pointing to russian interference- not that the story stinks FFS.
*The summary released yesterday was confirmation of what was already largely known among independent cybersecurity firms.

There was little to NOTHING in the Iraq WMD meme that the public saw outside of what the Bush admin was saying.
In this case what is public and can be seen on youtube with Manafort, KingCons hack invitation (Tiabbi calls a "hope" , KingCons defending Putin during the debates, Russia ambassdor STATING the KingCon campaign was in contact with Russia and KingCons son's STATED financial ties to Russia
All that isn't some intel agency shit, that's straight up public knowledge... at BEST there's a connection with Russia and the Trump Campaign
Fuck Tiabbi, he's on watch no doubt

(91,670 posts)... war intel as if the American public didn't see or hear Trumps defending Putin over US intel, didn't hear Trump invite (Taibbi calls it "hoping" for a hack) a Russian hack and didn't see Manaforts or Don Jr's ... TANGIBLE... ties to Putin.
There was little or NOT public evidence of WMD's in Iraq... nothing for the US public to go on other than some made up stories by the Bush admin.
The stories about KingCon can be seen on fuckin youtube coming from his own damn mouth.
Fuck Tiabbi

(91,670 posts)... Russia and Benedict Donald's crew just "dubious" mentions of some shit related to less than a handful of stories.
There is WAY ... WAY more to the Russia hack KingCon connection than there was to WMD and Iraq that the PUBLIC knows of... shit we can see !!!
SHIT THEY ADMITTED TO!!!
Fuck TIABBI, what he leaves out speaks louder than what he wrote
P.S. TIABBI says Trump "hoped" Russia would hack the emails or reviel them... as if the "hope" statement wasn't an invite as a premise.
Fuck Tiabbi...

(12,422 posts)Taibbi used this "article" to prop up Intercept by trying to use it as a credible source. If it's associated with Greenwald these days, it's not credible.
He also found time to throw in some dubious comments about media coverage of Assange.
Talk about propaganda...

(12,422 posts)Taibbi's article was really weak sauce, making an enormous false equivalency between alleged WMD's in Iraq and actual proof of the Russians hacking our election.

That's the only thing I see Tiabbi made a point about; that swinging an election like this calls for some Russian shit to blow up but I'm on the losing side of the bet so maybe I'm biased

I get it. You don't like Taibbi. You are free to your opinion. I don't share that opinion.
I do not always agree with him. There are times I wish he would be more assertive/ inclusive (when factual proof exists) but overall I appreciate his use of words, avoidance of speculation/ presumption in emotionally charged topics, his writing in general.
After reading his articles concerning the 2008 financial collapse, his relentless pursuit of Goldman (The Vampire Squid) Sachs. His books "Griftopia", "The Divide". I find him to be a fairly even handed author and can overlook his occasional tepidity.

(96,439 posts)Russia.
Effectively, what they all are saying is that Harry Reid, President Obama, and those in Congress who have actually seen the data, are liars.
Taibbi is basing his argument on the bush administration pushing the WMD lie. Using that logic, I could say that since Rolling Stone massively screwed up the University of Virginia rape story, why should I trust anything that comes from that magazine?
Does Mr. Taibbi have evidence that the Russians were not involved in influencing our election, or is he just basing it on the WMD fiasco?
Effectively, Taibbi is taking the same position as Trump, that the FBI and CIA are wrong. Not surprisingly, both Trump and Taibbi have not even seen what the FBI and CIA have, they are just talking out of their ass. The same goes with Greenwald, and Jill Stein, similar bullshit arguments.

(27,255 posts)They're so emotional. No, dears, the current administration is nothing like the Bush administration. Totally different people. I understand when non-Americans who don't follow American politics think all American governments are equally bad, but they were here, awake, heads off the desk. It started with Snowden/Greenwald, this disease. I hope there is a cure someday.
