Couple of trump-related thoughts

Intelligence
In the reality-based universe, it has been strongly suggested that is a Russian agent, cultivated for decades and now in Putin's pocket. Sure, this is kind of simplistic, but the evidence is mounting, and his behavior is certainly suspect.

A counterintelligence investigation is complex, and it can get messy. (In this regard, read about the CIA's CI chief in the 1960s, James Jesus Angleton.) In short, you have to test your theory that someone is a spy for another service, e.g., a mole. Here's a thought. In providing the president's daily briefing, or, better yet, slightly lower level but still sensitive-seeming intelligence, to a selection of trump administration officials, including trump himself. All with variations. Then you sit back (figuratively speaking) and see where that intelligence ends up in the Kremlin. We can accomplish this via the NSA, human sources in Russia, and Russian behavior in response to the disinformation. And I think we can be pretty confident that we will see that reporting in Russian hands sooner rather than later. The only question is whether the CIA or any one of the other dozen plus intelligence agencies have the balls to undertake this sort of CI operation against the president of the United States. And then what they will do with that information. High crimes and misdemeanors or use the incoming administration as an unwitting source of disinformation to the Russians for the next four years?

War
I was thinking about this the other day when I saw a photo online of the new - and only - Chinese aircraft carrier. You know, I can genuinely see trump launch an attack - or try to launch an attack of this carrier. Because while Chinese naval power does pose a threat to the US, closer to its home it poses a greater threat to Russia.

Whether my speculation is off the wall or not, we are living in very dangerous times.
