House could, however, refuse to validate the results of the electoral college. But they aren't going to.

No reason, though, that impeachment proceedings can't begin right away.

about 100,000 signatures needed to order a new election that nobody else had noticed before. Except the promoters of this petition.

Raising false hopes. It's kind of cruel, particularly for emotionally vulnerable people.

The entire House of Reps is up for re-election, and Dems are famous for staying home during the midterms. Just everybody make up their minds to change that.

I know about the hacking of the DNC, and that was unforgivable, but in the end all that did was release emails, that were true.
In the end, it was the voting public that decided whether or not those emails affected their decision.

I am all for Russia being punished, and I hope we get to the bottom of it all. If it is true that Trump was in the know then that may be a reason for impeachment but even President Obama has said that Russia DID NOT hack the election.

I'm tired of people saying that Russia "hacked the election" as if they broke into the voting machines themselves and flipped votes from Hillary Clinton to Trump. They did nothing of the sort.

It's conspiracy theory nonsense.

Maybe it's on a Russian website about how to make yourself more prosperous by buying a failed, insecure American businessman and encouraging him to run for President.

Haven't we dig ourselves into a deep enough grave already? From the embarassing recount to the electors revolt attempt. Our folks did not show up to vote in critical states, that's it - inconvinient truth to you.
All this talk that you gotta do more than simply vote - WRONG. If the only thing you do is vote in each and every election, perharps this is all you ever need to do politically because then politicians will be doing their job that we pay them to do.

It's one thing to be ignorant of the Constitution. It's another thing to pay for it.

Some of these magical "do-overs" were shamefully lucrative.

Does no one remember the 4chan petition to build a Death Star?

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/secure-resources-and-funding-and-begin-construction-death-star-2016

This Isn't the Petition Response You're Looking For

By Paul Shawcross

The Administration shares your desire for job creation and a strong national defense, but a Death Star isn't on the horizon. Here are a few reasons:

The construction of the Death Star has been estimated to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We're working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.

The Administration does not support blowing up planets.

Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?
