(2,328 posts)Got a poll call last month, but it wasn't about POTUS. It was more of a 'how do you think your governor is doing?' call.
I only answered because I suspected it was a poll, otherwise I wouldn't have.

(19,877 posts)Some people here from Iowa, NH, SC, etc. I live in NY, but in 2012 I was called 3x in 1 month by 3 different polling orgs.

(11,417 posts)the selection is drawn from may be a state or a country or some other geographic area.
Say they selected Iowa as the population which is 3.107 million and they selected 2000 people at random
If you lived in Iowa your chances of being selected are (2000/3107000)x100% or .000643708
So if you live in Iowa your not being polled don't mean jack shit

(12,655 posts)because i don't answer the phone, and the pollsters don't leave a message as to who they are, so they could be calling but i don't know it.

(3,649 posts)Two polls, one for Hillary supporters and one for Bernie supporters. Both ask if you have a cell phone, landline, or both. Anybody want to make these?
