That's pretty damned Presidential.

(12,504 posts)I'm sure you'll be very vocal about this godsend. Daily updates would be great. So what has happened since the filings?
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)The very last thing Clinton wants is a full investigation - the discovery phase of Benie's lawsuit will provide access to all communications between the DNC, DNC's data vendor, NGP-VAN and Hillary. Plus depositions, UNDER OATH, of all individuals sending, receiving or referred to in said communications/records/documents. At least the Battle of the Bighorn was mercifully brief. This lawsuit will take months just to complete the discovery phase .
Debbie Wasserman Schultz knee jerk pouncing without forethought will now bite them in the ass and unmask their corruption! If they try and cover it up, it becomes like Watergate, where the coverup ruined Nixon!
Delicious!

(12,958 posts)Unless they try a cover-up, in which case they self destruct like Nixon did.

(1,698 posts)I said some of his supporters. You on the other hand did not make that distinction.
Still behaving badly I see.

(10,007 posts)The collusion of the DNC with the Clinton campaign, and the associated shenanigans, is occurring at the highest levels.
You might as well put me on ignore, because I am certainly doing so with you.

(1,233 posts)The behavior was intentional, unethical, wrong.
There is no reason to downplay the facts here. Nobody is alleging that this was done with Bernie's knowledge, or at his behest. He took appropriate action, and apologized.
The unwillingness of some of his supporters to acknowledge that what the staffer did was wrong is not moving him forward.
Maedhros
(10,007 posts)Would "behaved poorly" work better?
Bottom line: the staffer's actions were not approved by the campaign. He wasn't instructed to do it. When it was discovered, the campaign did not make excuses for why he did it.

(36,974 posts)His campaign was caught with their hands in the cookie jar. He was forced to apologize.

(12,799 posts)As if Hillary should have said, "Oops, my email server wasn't secure. I must suspend my campaign now."
A staffer made bad choices and was fired for it. The DNC overreacted and team Hillary can't spin hay into gold, try as you might. If Hillary thought there was political traction in it, she'd still be beating that dead horse instead of advocating for Bernie to get access to his voter data and suggesting that her supporters move on.

(32,886 posts)critical pieces of the Clinton campaign turnout strategy in Iowa? I'll wait for your answer.
LiberalAndProud
(12,799 posts)And that, I think is the real story here. Why is the data so consistently insecure? hmmmm??? Why wasn't the vendor summarily discharged?
If Bernie's campaign had wanted to exploit the data, stealth would have been incorporated. Your assertion that Bernie should clear the way for Hillary's coronation is utter and complete hogwash. Especially considering her checkered past in matters of electronic data and national security.

(12,799 posts)The media shitstorm came straight from DWS. Made all Dems look absolutely incompetent in matters of data security. If you'd like to win in the GE, I suggest we let this one die a quick death.

(12,958 posts)To which she is legally bound. She thought she had him, and in her giddyness overreacted in very kneejerk fashion. Absolute power corrupted her absolutely and she took on the role of judge, jury and executioner. Now she can't get the genie back into the bottle and she's the one in trouble. It also appears that the Clinton campaign was in collusion with DWS, which is a conflict of interest and flat out corruption.
Scootaloo
(25,699 posts)That tends to result in lawsuits.

(1,061 posts)You think that would have restored access to the voter file? Really? Maybe the DNC should have gone quietly to the Sanders campaign. That way, undecideds wouldn't be presented with news showing the Democrats to be bumbling idiots.
How often does the guilty party demand an immediate day in court so their guilt is on full display? Any example will do.
How often does the aggreived party relent when faced with going to court ? Especially after the aggrieved declared they wouldn't restore access until a full investigation was complete ?
If a bank manager leaves the door unlocked and the vault open and the bank gets robbed, the bank goes after the thief AND fires the manager. No discipline for VAN. Why?
randome
(34,845 posts)'Discipline' for VAN? How do you know there isn't a clause in the contract that reduces payments in an event like this? You sure as hell don't fire your vendor because they're the ones maintaining your data.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm happy with all of our candidates. I agree with all and disagree with all--on some things, but one thing is certain, any of them is better than a republican.
Oh, and save your Clinton is the same, cuz that shit don't fly with me. Save your time and your energy. I'm not the one. Don't play the 1% card on me either--I'm not even in sniffing distance of 1%.
Just. Don't.
