I love it when she said "Bernie has not been willing to compromise on much".
She doesn't get it.
Compromising, in a "modern" Democrat's mind means giving the Republicans 90% of what they want, and moving at light speed to an Oligarchy with every act.
Time to start moving the needle back in the other direction Claire, ya think?
Time for the Fascists and Corporatists to compromise, not the handful of people that actually care about the 99%, instead of the profits of the 1%.
By the way Claire, the "crime bill" was horrible, and hurt millions, but did have some "good stuff" that had to be supported.
This is how legislation works. You give one group stuff, and screw another group with less power, and sell it as "good". Time to stop selling us crap.
We have had enough crap Claire.

(1,926 posts)It is about the word "compromise" which doesn't mean what we thing it should mean.
Compromise means both sides do it, somewhat equally.
Wall Street doesn't compromise.
They fight tooth and nail for every trillion for their tax haven accounts, and for paying lobbyists to tilt the needle.

(24,411 posts)made derogatory comments about Bill Clinton on "Meet The Press."
"The ill-feeling between Hillary Clinton and Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) was at one point so intense that the Missouri Democrat told a friend that she was scared of getting stuck alone with the former first lady.
I really dont want to be in an elevator alone with her, McCaskill told the friend, according to the forthcoming book HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton by The Hills Amie Parnes and Politicos Jonathan Allen.
In 2006, McCaskill was debating then-Sen. Jim Talent (R-Mo.) on the Sunday morning political show. The two were in the midst of a campaign that McCaskill ultimately won, and the Clintons had given her strong backing.
But when the subject of Bill Clinton came up, McCaskill said, Hes been a great leader but I dont want my daughter near him.
------
The Clintons basically own McCaskill now. They trod her out when they need something glowing said about Hillary or something negative said about whoever gets in Clinton's way. McCaskill will spend her life paying for speaking the truth.
