KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Occupy Kansas City protesters said they hold a record no other group like them does in the country.
However, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department does not seem to be impressed and its officers are taking action.
You may have thought Occupy KC protesters went away with the winter but they said they have stayed in tents protesting longer than any other Occupy group in the country.
-------
But Kansas City police asked them Tuesday and Wednesday to take down their structures in Penn Valley Park.

has been hanging in there for a long time too, but I just read that they are being forced out of the park by Friday night. They actually struck an agreement with the city allowing them to stay over the winter, but the agreement has lapsed and the city has ordered them out. They appealed in court but lost yesterday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Friday marked the last day for the camp where the Occupy Kansas City movement once stood.
Trash trucks, men in white suits and police swarmed Penn Valley Park where tents were pitched 183 days ago.
They came in a convoy and rushed and told us we need to vacate, said Mike, a protester.
Kansas City police along with city crews tore down tents and threw away everything that was once belonged to occupy protesters.
