Republican leaders in New York City are preparing the ground for popular police commissioner Ray Kelly to be the partys mayoral candidate next year, the New York Post reported Monday.
Kelly, who publicly insists he has no interest in running for elective office, is aware of the moves, the papers long-standing state editor, Fredric Dicker, wrote.

(11,700 posts)This is the motherfucker who set the standard for gassing and beating the shit out of OWS protesters. He walked right by me after a woman got her head beat in by one of his thugs.
If I said what I really think should happen to him I'd be arrested.

(62,325 posts)NYPD chiefs ever. His record of scandals, still ongoing, should sink any notion he has of being Mayor of NY, although that city is run by the wealthy and if they want him they'll pay to get him.
Btw, he is not a Republican afaik. Not that it matters. But Newsmax?? They may not realize he is not a Republican which would be understandable, as he certainly acts like one.
