Good for Sam Seder for helping out. A few of my friends used to live in the Rockaway area where they were very close to the water. I am glad they are getting into all these areas where there probably are elderly residents who need help.

What wonderful people they are.

It's a very moving story. The NYC Occupy people are really stepping up to help. They clearly have skills at coordinating a volunteer effort, running a volunteer kitchen, and managing donations and supplies. Much better for people to be organized and do something, instead of just helplessly waiting.

Rockaway that OWS has been distributing supplies to. He spoke to a woman who stated that they have children who are hungry that there is no water etc. He made the comment that 'community organizations' are now there helping out. But he never mentioned OWS lol!

I'm sure lots of groups are helping out and working together. Thank goodness for people power.

to conclusions.

I'm just glad they are all working together to get some help to those poor people. And good that he covered the story as that should get some more attention for them.

you might have been right, the 'Occupy Sandy' volunteers do seem to be playing a particularly big role. They might deserve some special recognition for being the first responders in many of these neighborhoods.
