Suggestions re: which Occupy group to try to contact for this?

I just got a request from a major radio network who wants to honor Hurricane Sandy first responders with brief "shout-outs" during athletic events.

They're not wanting just a list of names, but recommendations of sorts, by people who live on Long Island or who also helped during Sandy, with very brief anecdotes regarding how these first responders helped during Sandy. (i.e. "We want to honor Jane/John Doe for their extraordinary efforts in (however they served) on Long Island during Hurricane Sandy.&quot

Please contact me if you know of any residents and/or first responders who served the Long Island area during Sandy that may meet the above criteria, and how to reach them or their loved ones to get brief info (where they work, brief background info and Sandy-specific tidbits).

I'm trying to reach someone with Occupy Sandy now.

OP in GD for same: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022380143

Thanks
