This has been a very, very long time coming: the facts and figures behind Occupy’s economic ideology are finally being broadcast in the mainstream.

This clip is from TVNZ – New Zealand’s “partially-privatised” corporate-backed bank-sponsored mainstream television news service. It validates what Occupiers have been saying all along.

What a year ago they described as “conspiracy theory”, they are describing in 2013 as “Economics 101?

Since Occupy’s inception in September 2011, corporate media have misrepresented, mocked, shunned and outright blacked out the movement.

I liked the use of repetition for emphasis.

This of course hits home right at the heart of the matter.

is futile at this point. We have to build up a real news media in this country and the only way to do that is to elect actual representatives of the people. I see this beginning to happen now, thanks to movements like OWS, the people, liberal organizations from across the country, joining forces and not sending their money to big political party operations who have proven they will use it to back corporate friendly candidates over the people's choices every time.

OWS has had and continues to have a huge impact on the public consciousness regarding the Corporate takeover of nations and their resources.

The effort to crush this movement was proof of their success actually and as they say, they failed, as you cannot crush an idea and I am so glad to see the expansion of those ideas around the world.

Thanks for the link, Fire.
