(10,575 posts)To know where he is coming from:
He wrote the Biography of the Rothschild family. In this movie he praises Pinochet and the Chicago boys. And he also praises micro loans.
I can't remember if he praised Thatcher or not, but i wouldn't be surprised.
Other than that, a good movie.

Fire Walk With Me
(38,893 posts)A friend recommended the book to me (haven't read it yet, nor watched the documentary) because it outlines "their" view, not because it's "our" view. Know the enemy and their works in order to disassemble. Scrutinize and plan.
The "Plutonomy Symposium" memo reveals "their" plans and weaknesses, and it is told from "their" perspective. "The Shock Doctrine" and "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" are told from "our" perspective and tell even more...that's all.
