Homeless ground rules for Gem Show

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
The Tucson Police Department and a group of homeless and homeless advocates sat at a round table in Viente de Augusto Park in downtown Tucson.

Included in the conversation was a director from the Parks and Recreation Department.

The discussion, just days before the Gem Show comes to town, was to set ground rules for the homeless.

During the Gem Show, Tucson will be on the world stage with dealers from all corners of the globe and buyers who follow them.

1. What better security can you have than unseen or unnoticed

observers?

2. There is something that the story does not cover...

A reason, besides the situation is affecting homeless, that a rep. from Primavera was there.

They have a work program, like a labor ready, that the Gem Show does use for ground keeping and such. So really the homeless will be there anyway.

3. Too bad we live in a society where real gems, our own people, are so undervalued. We are so wasting

some of our best resources. Hide them, so the rich don't have to bother their beautiful minds. What a country!
