Scott Olsen who got shot in the head with a teargas cannister a couple of years ago?

if the latter, I heard him speak on the radio, subsequent to the event, and altho there was some hesitation speaking (I think his brain got injured), but I believe he is mostly back to functioning fine.

The last reports about him were earlier this year, when the City of Oakland agreed to pay him a $4.5 million settlement. The brain damage he suffered is permanent and will affect him for the rest of his life.

taxpayers of Oakland bear the burden
instead of the cop who did it.

and it sure did disappear from the news.

imagine if it had been a cop suffering permanent brain damage from a tear gas cannister thrown by a protester----
We'd still be getting daily updates.

criminal who assaulted him was, afaik, that perp has never been brought to justice. I believe the 'internal investigation' is still going on!

Another case of a cop who commits a brutal crime, being protected.

I believe Scott Olsen was suing for his injuries, there hasn't been much information on the story.
