How do I change my name?

My username is old and out of date...want a new one.
When changing names do we lose all posts and history Etc.

1. Admin has said you can't. You can abandon an account and start over with a new one,

new name, new posting history, etc. But make sure you don't use your old one also as that is prohibited. It would be nice if they'd do another name change thing, but they keep saying they won't.

Haven't posted in years. Would love to come back as someone new and updated but hate to lose all my posts.

2. Unfortunately, when you change your name, normally you lose all posts etc...

We used to have a time when you could change your name without losing anything, but I believe Skinner has said they aren't going to do that any more.

I wish it were different.

5. You don't have to delete your old account.

Just set up a new hotmail account to use to open a new account in your new name.

Then you can leave the old one as dorment but still be able to refer to it.

On edit : I don't know if that's legal. So don't tell anyone.
