2. Over the years, advanced search has been a hit or miss proposition.

More times than not, the search times out,
or gives the message you quoted in the other thread.

maybe I haven't used it in a while. it never worked well for subjects or search terms but to see posts people made was good.

For a word in an OP title and for author only it worked fine. Other options, nope.

but that always worked.
