(49,617 posts)is relative. Obviously, it's easier to access those posts more recently published either in the general circulation, in their particular subscriptions, and "my posts".
Like you, I add them to "my journal" for easy access indefinitely. After a day or so, our posts haven't been deleted but can't be found by chronology of date and time as there are maybe 10 pages that are "up". I've tried to do google searches to find past posts and it isn't easy.
If you want to find posts that are "old" and not yours, do the "bookmark" tab. I have stuff that are more than five years there.

Simply put your name in the Post author box (with no extra spaces), select the other options as appropriate and it should show you all your posts.
