Gold Star

I was given a gold star membership. After being notified of that I made a sizable donation. I just got a notification thanking me for becoming a member. What is the status of my gifted membership and of my cash donation?

You were gifted a Star Membership during the fund drive last week, and received a star. Then you purchased your own membership by sending in a check, which I received yesterday. So your Star Membership was updated, and you received a new message notifying you of that. Your Star Membership is now good for one year, starting yesterday.
