I know there are some apps that require a fee but why should that be something we have to pay for?
Apple could easily add some way to stop these texts.

(14,676 posts)I just reply with the word STOP and get an immediate response that I have been taken off their list. Try it.

(18,402 posts)That will work on "legitimate" texts (such as from candidates). If they're scams, I wouldn't reply at all. Just delete.

Has an expensive "Upgrade" option (of course). Ignored that.
Will see if it can stop "spoof" texts.

(16,539 posts)By law that stops it and it works for me. Still, you'll get others from different candidates and causes. It takes a while but it works.
