Newcomer group

Have we ever considered a Newcomer group?
You know like a place where people can check
in that has their name on it; Newcomer? If I
have enough post points here yet I would host it.

I used to be over at Care2.com when there was
an active community there. Anybody else remember
Care2 or know of it? Some of us would create Newcomer
threads in our groups.

What do you say?
