DU Community Help
Related: About this forumI wonder why...
I can't see a particular DUer's posts anymore. They are not on my ignore list and I haven't block any fora that I would find their posts located.
Been going on for a few months.
Think. Again.

(92,371 posts)They post something almost every day or several times a week. And now I see they posted something and I actually saw their post on the "latest" page.
Weird.

(13,550 posts)When you trash by keyword, it does a substring match. So if you block anger, it will block stranger, ranger and so on.
It's unlikely that the poster uses the same keywords all the time, but some do.
Wing will block viewing. Nothing common that I know of will block pellucid -- These are the only trademarks I could think of. Just wild-guessing.
And just keep it in mind for future blocks.

(92,371 posts)I don't know if I have ever blocked anything in that way. Is there a way to check on what I might have blocked?

Auto-trash by keyword
When you auto-trash by keyword, discussions which contain that keyword in their title will be removed from your view when browsing the site. To add a keyword, enter it into the box below. You may enter a single word (eg. chicken) or a string of words (eg. corn flakes). Capitalization is not important.

I checked and I did have some key words blocked from a couple years ago, maybe longer, so I don't think that was the issue though I have unblocked those terms since they are no longer relevant.
And as is the way of things in my world, almost as soon as I posted this thread, the DUer in question had a post that I could see and access.
Weird.

(13,550 posts)When AI writes all the software, it will get even more faulty, confusing, bizarre, and impossible to debug.

Im Tired of Fixing Customers AI Generated Code
When all the developers have moved on to more promising work, like concert pianist, there will be nobody left to debug faulty code.
I remember the days when you had to write code for everything, glad I haven't had much use for it of late. If I had to I could acquaintance myself with it. I kind of like being retired from needing to know all that stuff and have the info available every day.
I will look into it, though.
