OP
Don't worry about it. If they're a troll or a disruptor they will be taken care of.

So far they have not posted in GD as they were advised to do.

but I didn't go through with the alert, since as far as I know, they may want to post something positive.
OTOH it might be a smear that might be up for awhile.
On the time limit to alert -- one can alert on a post that's been up less than 24 hours (or less than or equal to 24 hours), and it will go to a jury.
After that, in my experience, when one clicks the alert button, it will say this alert will be sent directly to the administrators and asks for a reason for the alert. And one can cancel out of that which is wise unless one strongly feels that it is really serious enough to bother an admin about.
edited to add I just checked the person's profile (which shows the person's latest 5 posts) and so far that person hasn't posted anything outside of the DU Community Help thread where they ask where should i post ( as of 430 PM ET )
I want to post about an experience I had with someone called Skinner who was or is with Democratic Underground. have meant to do it for years.

(11,463 posts)4. I warned the person in that thread that if it's negative, it would likely be a violation of terms of service
and that skinner, by the way, is a member of DU (even though he hasn't posted since 2020).

That person replied to me a few minutes ago and said it was "very very positive" about skinner.
