The answer is in regards to archive.org, so replace that with DU like so:
Go into Safari > Preferences > Privacy
Search for "democraticunderground.com"
Click Remove
You might have to log back into DU after that.

I thought I deleted a bunch of sites that were storing data and cookies.
Hmm.
Good advice.
I deleted a ton of them (select all, and then de-select the sites that I use regularly, or for business purposes.)

I tried the recommended Apple "fix", but it didn't work.
Guess I'm switching to Chrome for DU.
