my partner needs prayer again... and she's not the only one

I am not religious, but she needs prayer. I last asked on DU back in 2018 for a condition which is now in remission thanks almost entirely to her own efforts rather than to doctors. I last asked elsewhere just two weeks ago as she was going in for eye surgery. But what's up now has nothing to do with either of those. The eye surgery went perfectly and everything on that front is looking great; we just saw the doc for a followup exam this morning...

but now she's felled by terrible back pain! A chiropractor may have done a small amount of good. Ice and heat may have done a small amount of good. Magnesium-infused lotion may have done a small amount of good. But the big picture is that she's largely immobilized. And wants prayers. I hope you have some to spare. I thank you, and she thanks you for previous prayers as well as current ones.

...
Another person who could also use prayer is a former foster-sister of mine, who has gone through a medical wringer with everything from rare blood disorders to kidney stones, each problem interfering with the others so that treatment is constantly being postponed and delayed. It's horrifying. She needs a positive intervention from God more than anyone else I can think of. She very much believes in prayer and I'd like her to receive a full measure of them.

...
Another friend of mine just had an operation for bladder cancer. He could use one.

Glad to pray for each of them.🙏

Prayers for your partner and her back pain that is immobilizing her, that she will get relief from the pain and that her back will heal completely.

How long has she been dealing with that?

Prayers for your former foster sister who is enduring one health problem after another and so far has not been able to have the treatments she really needs because it would make the other problems worse. May God be with her and her medical team and may she be able to get the treatment she urgently needs very soon.

Prayers for healing for your friend after his surgery for bladder cancer.

Back and neck pain have been occasional issues for a long time, but the severity of this is unlike anything before. It only started this morning.

We went to a local chiropractor who is more of a physical therapist, and a lot more useful than the average back cracker. He actually works out of a bodybuilding gym. He did some gentle prodding and pulling, showed her a couple of stretches and exercises, and she's 90% better.

She said the pain was equal to childbirth, though much less prolonged. Now it's nothing like that.

I take comfort in being able to help. Best wishes to all of them as they fight their battles. I wish you comfort also as you try to assist them.

down on a sturdy bar to help separate the vertebrae
From squeezing the discs and straighten the spine to a better alignment would give her some relief? I know it makes my back feel better.
