Didn't Group hosts used to have access to the Hosts Forum ??

I've been host of Science for a long time, and it's mostly a quiet place, with only the occasional pseudoscience posts to provide disruption. Now I'm looking at some ill-informed posts from someone with more attitude than expertise, and wondering what my options are.

The only Forum or Group for this purpose seems to be the "Special Forum", Main Forum Hosts, which I cannot access. I'm still a Star Member, so it's not that.

Did I miss some announcement or something ? Was I supposed to register as a host when DU4 began, or something ?

I have hardly needed to interact with other Hosts in many years, and now I don't seem to be allowed to. What happened ?

1. Not that I remember. I'm a host on 3 forums, but the only time I had access was when I was a Main Forums host

And when I was an LBN host in 2007 (there used to be separate hosts for each Main Forum) when we were sometimes asked to help out in GD.

Topic Forum Hosts are assigned either by the DU Administrators, or by other Hosts of that Topic Forum. Topic Forum Hosts have the following abilities: 1) They can lock threads which they believe violate the forum's stated purpose; 2) they can pin threads to the top of the forum; 3) they may completely block out members whom they believe are not adhering to the forum's purpose; 4) they may add other members as Hosts of the forum; and 5) they may remove any Host that became a Host after they did (and who is listed below their name on the list below).

3. Thanks! "About this Forum" is one of those things I haven't had to refer to for so long, I forgot it existed.

I didn't recall having the ability to block people altogether. I just "WRP"'ed someone, if you know what I mean.
