Got the news from my husbands MRI on his brain........
https://www.md-health.com/Chronic-Microvascular-Ischemic-Disease.html There it is .chronic micro vascular ischemic ..But all his vitals are good, blood work, and pee work up were all in the normal range .except his exercise regiment ..he doesnt do any exercise.
So today we are very happy indeed I still have to deal with his memory problems, but so happy nothing is medically wrong like a tumor or something.

I was just trying to get out and move. Now a year later I am trying to pick up some speed.

I am way too knowledgeable about boots and casts.
At some point, you will be able to go out and walk again. If you can swing it, I highly recommend physical therapy. They really helped me a lot to gain my mobility.

(58,281 posts)When I broke my leg and ankle, I needed immediate surgery. But the quarantine had just started and many of the local OP surgical centers were shut down and inpatient hospital beds were full.
So I ended up having to go home and walk on a severely broken leg and ankle for two weeks until I could get into surgery.
At the time I lived in a condo with two flights of stairs. (I couldn't get into a rehab facility either as the residents were testing positive for Covid.)

(159,607 posts)I hobbled on my foot a week before my first appointment - at first because I didn't think it was that bad, and then when the fracture was confirmed it was late on a Friday. I realized HEY I should not be playing games with my mobility, need an expert to check it out!

(58,281 posts)If you wait over two weeks and it was broken and needed surgery, the surgery is much more difficult.
They basically have to go in and re-break the bones and you don't want to know how they do that.
I was up against that clock during the quarantine.
so far so good for me, I had an x ray last week, doc says fracture is still there but bone growing around it, which he says is the expected status

(1,910 posts)Owned a fitness club for 20 years. The benefits of walking regularly are amazing. Once it becomes a habit, its addictive. Nice weather a long walk at the park, bad weather, a cheap treadmill while watching TV. A reasonably brisk walk is all it takes. Add in just a few light weight resistance exercises with a pair of dumbbells bought cheaply at Walmart, Target, Dicks.
Seen even a simple program like that change quite a few lives over the years.
I have never understood why people need to go to gyms, it is overkill and I cannot imagine how many viruses are spread there
