The US is becoming the pariah of the rest of the world over our stupid gun rights movement.

Mexico Minister Says US Gun Control Laws Fuel Criminal Violence

Mexico's foreign minister has blamed lax US gun control laws for the flood of illegal weapons into the country, in an unusually frank assessment of the impact of US domestic policy on violence and organized crime in Mexico.
Speaking at the Second Conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty, Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu said loose gun control laws in the United States have undermined Mexico's own restrictions on gun sales and ownership.
"Mexico's efforts are limited by the thousands of illegal weapons that arrive in our country every year from our northern border," she said.

Yeah, that's right, gun running isn't just about domestic terror anymore.

The TSA Is Finding More and More Guns at Airport Checkpoints

The agency busts an armed traveler every 3 hours on average.

For the second consecutive week, the Transportation Security Administration confiscated a record number of firearms at security checkpoints at U.S. airports. Officers seized 81 guns between August 12th and 18th. Of the weapons, 70 were loaded, and 31 had a round chambered, meaning ready to fire at the squeeze of a trigger.

Last week’s tally brings the agency’s total number of guns seized in 2016 from carry-on baggage to 1,908 — or slightly more than eight firearms per day. That’s almost 400 more weapons seized than this time last year, when 1,575 guns had been discovered.

The way I see it if you "forgot" you were carrying a deadly weapon that's grounds to confiscate and destroy the gun and charge a fee to pay for the destruction as well as forfeiting the 'right' to own a gun for the rest of your life.

Canada to US tourists: please leave your guns at home

Ottawa (AFP) - A rash of gun-toting Americans visiting Canada prompted its border agency to launch a public awareness campaign reminding tourists about their northern neighbors' relatively strict firearms laws.
====
The announcement comes on the heels of two separate incidents in which Texas retirees (were) denied carrying weapons at a border checkpoint in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick.

A search of their vehicles uncovered several handguns, a shotgun and loose ammunition, which were seized.

The two tourists were also fined more than Can$1,000 ($775 US) and kicked out of Canada, along with their wives.

The guns weren't only seized, they were destroyed. Nope, ya' aint' gonna git yer gunz back from the Mounties. How sweet it is to have to pay to have your guns destroyed! That's how you do it folks. Have a restraining order? Seize the guns and DESTROY them. Have a history of bad behaviour like public intoxication, anger management or other anti social behaviour just seize the guns and destroy them. So, yeah, maybe it is time to COME AND TAKE THE GUNS AWAY from idiots and others like the Bundy bunch.

There's nobody they can complain to. Any reasonable American diplomat would tell them: "Hey, you were told not to bring firearms into Canada. Deal with it."

an Amurican, and my Second Amendment rights trump your silly Mexican and Canadian laws. The "ugly American" is alive and well, and also well represented by Amurican gun nuts.
