Group Plans To Hand Out Free Shotguns in High-Crime Tucson Neighborhoods
Political gadfly Shaun McClusky has a new plan: He wants to hand out free shotguns
in high-crime Tucson neighborhoods.
McClusky says the lucky recipients will receive a cleaning kit, theyll receive the shotgun,
theyll receive slugs, theyll go through a background check and theyll also go through
the training class.
The program is a local affiliate of the Armed Citizen Project, which launched in Houston
earlier this year.
McClusky says hes already raised $12,000 in pledges for the program. With each package
costing about $350, that means he has enough money to hand out roughly three dozen
single-shot, break-action shotguns, says McClusky, who hopes to raise more money
to expand the program.

(54,798 posts)When those guns inevitably end up killing people. Manslaughter charges wouldn't be out of the question. I suspect their goal is to see as many people of color killed as possible. It's not an accident that most gun proponents are white folks living in rural areas, and Republicans to boot. These are the same people that lament the loss of their America because too many people of color vote. This is how they plan to win it back.

I Googled "police gun raffle" and other than that idiot New Hampshire Police Chiefs' ASSOCIATION, which is facing a storm of criticism for a planned raffle this May where the first prize is an AR-15, I did not find any actual police DEPARTMENTS raffling off handguns.
Police department are doing just the opposite; they are doing buybacks, like here in Los Angeles.

I would think anybody, especially police departments, giving away guns is very uncommon. Can you provide any link(s) substantiating what you just said?

(53,709 posts)Even if there really was such a flyer and it really advertised a police department gun raffle, the most rudimentary of Google searches would reveal that is far from "common." Hell, anyone not living under a rock could tell you that.
Outside the gungeon, we expect your assertions to be backed up and make sense. If you want to say insane stuff like that, go to your RKBA group. Don't come here and troll the Gun Control Reform Activism group.
