Your suggestion is more than fitting when you compare the numbers of deaths.

Through a comprehensive study of war-related deaths as published by the Congressional Research Service and icasualties.org (which provides Afghanistan and Iraq death tolls) Politifact was able to determine that 1,171,177 Americans have been killed at war since our nation was born.

Conversely, they pulled data from the CDC and FBI to calculate the total number of gun-related deaths in American since 1968. That number is 1,384,171.

her death, just 4 months after her marriage at age 23, was joyous and happy for my family. Her death, at the hands of her drunk and angry step-grandfather, was a huge family tragedy. So many of the family members involved are gone now, my brother, my mother, my father. I guess I'll carry the memory to my grave also...

that we as a nation allow our children to be slaughtered like livestock, and that is why I will continue to support sensible gun control regulations until I can no longer do so.

Please accept my condolences for the death of your niece and for your, and your family's, needless suffering.

Yes, it's hard...

only with guns and hiding behind bushes.

I suppose it would take a counter protest of several magnitudes higher and right in their face. I think we could manage that.

And what could the NRA counter with? A national right to kill day? A national day to commemorate metal for being heavier than flesh? Sorry, but I could have been much more crude. I held back.
