One of these days, things will change and there will be laws against this sort of ugliness. People will look back on pictures like this one and shake their heads in wonder.

That's the overriding problem with open carry: people who feel compelled to bring those sorts of military/law enforcement-styled firearms into a public place are signaling a very strong desire to use those firearms against people. If they were only interested in personal protection, they would take the training, pay the fee, and conceal carry a single handgun. BIG difference in motivations.
