If anyone missed the PBS Frontline documentary "Gunned Down:The Power of the NRA"

you can find it here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/gunned-down/

It seems that the whole thing about the NRA is political power and fund raising not gun rights. The current President of the NRA, Wayne Lapierre, isn't a gun enthusiast, he's an ex lobbyist. My favorite line in the 54 minute program is at 20:40, "The safest place you could be with Wayne Lapierre and a gun back then was in another state".

The program shows how the NRA is about bilking everyday people out of dues so they can collect even more money from the gun industry.
