"COLUMBIA --- An effort to remove a proposed gun ban from a domestic-violence bill was soundly rejected Wednesday by the South Carolina Senate.

Sen. Tom Corbin argued that the provision forbidding domestic violence offenders from possessing firearms for up to 10 years would clog the courts.

Senators voted 35-5 to table Corbin's amendment to strip the gun ban from the bill."


We'll see how the House handles the bill.
