Not every gun owner is a crazy ass sick bastard like this, but every crazy ass sick bastard like this is a gun owner. Its way past time that the one group of gun owners disowns and combats the other.

every gun owner is a gun nut, especially most gun owners who identify themselves as Democrats. I am not surprised, however, to see support for the NRA's actions against Gabby, and their stances against gun control, posted on DU from the usual suspects. Sad...

Hitting a new low in its bullying barrage against gun laws, the National Rifle Association targeted Gabrielle Giffords in an attack mocking her 2011 shooting.

“Gabby Giffords: Everyone Should Have to Pass Background Check My Attacker Passed,” the NRA tweeted from its main account.

NRA uses specious sophistry, that since a background check didn't stop gabby's shooter, that BG checks are useless and unnecessary. I'm sure Gabby Gifford's group ARS is well aware how her shooter got his gun, but are also well aware that BG checks can only ever be partially effective in preventing violent crime & gun murder. BG checks will not prevent all gun murders but will help towards prevention and are a positive step in blunting gun crime.

The high minded bigots at NRA mislead that BG checks are worthless, using sick minded words. Profit minded nra bigots are the underlying reason.
The true hypocrisy isn't from Gabby, but from the NRA.
