At this point, I'm sorry I said anything to billh, asking him to be less rude. That was a mistake.

Since I can't win with you anyways, even when being civil and discussing the issue at hand (this sub-thread, for example), I shouldn't have bothered worrying about your delicate sensibilities.

I'm starting to understand why the earlier GCRA hosts ended up quitting DU entirely, because it puts a target on my back and gun humper asshole trolls can simply make up lies about what I have or haven't said, and get away with it.

1. I know exactly what you mean. The "safe haven" for gun lovers is swarming with posters who

seem to exist only to cut, paste and purposely alter the meaning or the context of other not gun safe haven needy posters.

I have most of them on Full Ignore....in one thread there were 54 comments....I saw only 12!

I am sure admin. has their reasons for keeping the forum, keep your enemies closer kind of reasoning....but is it worth the price?

The ones who act this way also routinely advance barely concealed straight from the NRA talking points without ever admitting they disagree with the politics of the NRA.

All the time waiting with an itchy finger to alert on any and all even mildly harsh responses, with alert explanations themselves being a distortion.

A couple of time I have noticed edits in their own posts to make their alerts seem more sane.

Time to get rid of the group entirely, maybe, the whole group seems contrary to the TOS of DU.

I think the DU admins just got tired of playing whack-a-mole, so they let us create this Safe Haven instead, and that let the gun trolls stop having to unfurl new socks.

There is one in particular that I have noticed loves to harrass the hosts of this group every chance he gets, he loves to lecture about politeness while being completely oblivious to the fact that his constant harassment is anything but polite. I have seen him jump on you multiple times over an alert he had against himself, and he constantly harrassed Secular Motion demanding he "discuss" with people who clearly just wanted to tear him down.

Why the admins allow people like this to harrass good standing members of this site like he does I will never understand, there are several people in that group who should have gotten the boot long ago.

So, share with us your real world activities to support your belief that the 2nd needs to be repealed.

Start the petitions for repeal of one of the original Bill of Rights amendments yet? How about getting out the checkbook and joining a gun control group? Maybe attending and speaking out at a local town hall or zoning meeting about a new gun range or gun store in your area?

How about at least sharing a few of your letters to the editor about the need to repeal concealed carry in your state?

Certainly someone with your deeply felt beliefs must be active in making it happen, right?
